Young, Levine to Meet in JSM Challenger Final

A pair of young left-handers will face off for the 2007 JSM Challenger singles title. Jesse Levine continues his stellar play as he downed John Isner 7-6(5), 6-3. Despite Isner's efficiency on his serve, Levine was able to capture the mini-break in the first set tiebreak and take advantage of Isner's errors in the second to capture the straight set victory. The win is Jesse's twelfth straight match win and his second finals appearance in as many tournaments.

Donald Young (pictured), the No. 3 seed, needed three sets to get past Ilia Bozoljac. After being down two breaks in the first set, Young was able to battle back and capture the first set in a tiebreak. After struggling in the second set, Donald regained his composure and closed out the match to earn his spot in the final by winning the third, 6-3.

In doubles, Harel Levy and Sam Warburg upset the No. 1 seeded team of Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds, 7-6(4), 4-6, 11-9 to reach the finals. Ram's loss is the first time in five appearances he has not reached the doubles final of the JSM Challenger.

Levy and Warburg will meet Brendan Evans and Scott Lipsky. The No. 3 seeded team withstood a formidable challenge from Ryler DeHeart and Izak van der Merwe who extended Evans and Lipsky to a match tiebreak.

The doubles final between Levy and Warburg and the team of Evans and Lipsky will begin at 4:30 pm. The 2007 JSM Challenger singles final between Jesse Levine and Donald Young will follow. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students.
