Rowe's Run Ends, DeHeart and van der Merwe Topple No. 2 Seeded Team

Ryan Rowe's tournament ended at the hands of Ilia Bozoljac. The Serbian had too much experience and too much talent for Rowe to handle as Ilia earned a place in the semifinals. He will take on No. 3 seed, Donald Young, who cruised into the semis with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Dusan Vemic. Young appears to be the favorite to capture the JSM Challenger title as he has only dropped one set and is gaining confidence with each match.

On the top half of the draw, John Isner once again used tiebreakers to capture his match. John defeated Benedikt Dorsch 7-6(4), 7-6(4) to reach the semifinals. He'll take on Jesse Levine who easily defeated qualifier, Izak van der Merwe, in straight sets. Despite being unseeded, Levine is on a hot streak having qualified and won the title last week in Nashville. He also has not dropped a set in the JSM Challenger. His current match win streak stands at 11 matches.

In doubles, former Illini, Ryler DeHeart (pictured) and Izak van der Merwe, toppled Patrick Briaud and David Martin, the No. 2 seeded team. After dropping a close first set, Ryler and Izak gained momentum throughout the second set and played well on key points in the third set match tiebreak. They'll face the No. 3 seeded team, Brendan Evans and Scott Lipsky, for a place in the finals. The No. 1 seeded team of Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds also advanced and will face Harel Levy and Sam Warburg, the No. 4 seeds, in the other semifinal.

Friday's matches will begin at 2:00 pm at the Atkins Tennis Center. General admission tickets are available at the tennis center for $8 for adults and $5 for students. The order of play can be viewed by clicking "Order of Play" under the Quick Links above. Match scores will be updated throughout the day.
